"LILY"

BY NEW YORK SYMPHONIC BRASS

Since 2012, the New York Symphonic Brass has performed my composition “Lily". Originally, I wrote “Lily" for one of my piano students to improve her piano technique. I gave it to her and asked her to make an original song title. That’s why there was no title at first. At the same time, I met John Sheppard, who founded the New York Symphonic Brass. I took his brass arrangement lesson and I used that song as an example of brass arrangement. After he listened to the song, he liked it a lot and he decided to perform this song (titles after my student’s name Lily) with his brass orchestra.

I’m so grateful that every Christmas season, “Lily" is performed by the New York Symphonic Brass with famous Christmas carols at the Fish Church in Stamford, Connecticut.
